Apply for a fit call

We work with four to five companies at a time. Apply with the form below — we respond to every application personally within two business days.

What we look for

We are best for founders and operators who can answer yes to most of these:

  • You have funding, revenue, or runway sufficient for a $5,000-plus monthly engagement
  • You have at least one immediate technical decision or problem on your plate (not "we are exploring AI")
  • You can commit to weekly working sessions and async availability
  • You want a partner, not a slide deck
  • You are based in or operate primarily within the United States

If most of these are no, the engagement probably will not pay for itself yet. We will tell you that honestly rather than sign you up.

Tell us about your company and the technical decision or problem on your plate. We read every application personally and respond with either a 30-minute fit-call link or a referral to someone better suited. There is no automated reply or AI-screened drop-off here; you write it, we read it.

Be specific in the "biggest decision or pain" field. "We need a CTO" is honest but does not help us scope. "We are choosing between Postgres and DynamoDB for a multi-tenant analytics workload, our agency is pushing one and our seed lead is pushing the other, and we are not technical enough to weigh the tradeoffs" gives us almost everything we need to lead a useful first conversation. The more concrete you are, the faster we can either say yes or refer you elsewhere.

What happens next

  1. Within 2 business days: We read your application and reply with either a 30-minute fit-call link or a referral to a better-fit partner.
  2. Fit call (30 minutes): We dig into the technical decision or pain you described, ask about the systems and team behind it, and confirm whether the engagement is right.
  3. Proposal (within 48 hours of the call): A one-page written proposal with the recommended scope of the 90-day foundation engagement and a target outcome.
  4. Kickoff: If you accept, we usually start the following Monday.
